Diving or snorkeling: which one to choose
Divers, snorkelers and people who just want half a day at sea all ride the same boat to Hon Mun. Here is how to choose what suits you.

Everything includes the boat, lunch, water and fruit, transfer within Nha Trang and the marine park fee. Dives include all the gear.
Choose snorkeling if
- You are not a confident swimmer or not ready to breathe underwater — the life vest keeps you at the surface.
- You are travelling with children under 10.
- You have been unwell recently, have a medical reason not to dive, or fly in less than 18 hours.
Hon Mun’s reefs are shallow, so you see a lot from the surface. But underwater it is a different picture: you are inside the reef, not above it.
Choose diving if
- You want to see the reef up close, not from above.
- You have always wanted to try — a Try Dive needs no experience or course.
- You already hold an Open Water certificate from any agency — PADI, SSI or CMAS.
Going as a group
Easy: divers go with their instructor, snorkelers swim at a nearby spot and everyone else relaxes on deck. Lunch is together. In the pre-dive form each person picks their activity and we work out the total straight away.
