About

Already certified? Just grab your gear and dive

Fun Dive is diving purely for pleasure. No training, no exams, no hour-long briefings. If you're already a certified diver, we handle everything else: boat, equipment, the best dive sites, lunch on board. All you have to do is dive and enjoy.

Nha Trang offers relaxed reef diving in the warm waters of the South China Sea. Living coral gardens, diverse marine life, gentle currents and good visibility in season. You're on the boat in the morning, and by noon you've done 2 dives and are heading back to Nha Trang.

The "half-day on the water" format leaves you with the rest of the day free — for the beach, excursions or simply relaxing. Small groups (max 4 divers per dive master) and an experienced dive master make every dive comfortable and safe.

⚠️ Don't forget your certification!

Please bring your diving certification card (plastic card or digital version on your phone) and logbook (if you have one). Without certification we can't take you on a Fun Dive — it's an international safety requirement. No certification? Then a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) is perfect for you — or you can get certified with us.

Who it's for

Fun Dive is for you if…

🎓 You have an Open Water certification
PADI Open Water Diver, CMAS 1*, SSI Open Water or equivalent. You know how to dive, control buoyancy, equalize. Fun Dive is simply the pleasure of diving on new reefs.
🌊 You want to dive deeper (Advanced)
Have an Advanced Open Water? Then you have access to deeper, more interesting dive sites (up to 30m): underwater pinnacles, walls with gorgonians, larger pelagic fish. Madonna Rock awaits.
✈️ A traveler in Nha Trang with a certification
Traveling the world and collecting dive sites in your logbook? Nha Trang's coral reefs are worth a visit. One day — two new dives in the South China Sea.
💡 Haven't dived in over 6 months?

We recommend starting with a Refresh / Scuba Review dive — a short refresher of basic skills in shallow water before the main dives: mask clearing, buoyancy control, safe ascent. It takes 20–30 minutes and restores your confidence. Cost: +$30 to the Fun Dive.

Where we dive

Best dive sites for Fun Dive in Nha Trang

An archipelago of 19 islands surrounds Nha Trang Bay — and each offers its own character, depth and marine life. The dive master selects the best spots for the day based on weather, current and the group's level.

🏝️ Hon Mun Island
Depth 5–18m · current light-moderate
Vietnam's marine protected area with living coral gardens. Clownfish in anemones, moray eels in crevices, barracuda, parrotfish. Best visibility March–September (15–20m).
⚓ Madonna Rock
Depth 8–25m · current moderate
An underwater rock with vertical walls covered in corals and sponges. Groupers, eagle rays (seasonal), Napoleon wrasse, schools of jacks. For Advanced divers.
🐢 Tranh Beach
Depth 5–15m · current light
A calm dive site for easy diving. Sandy bottom with coral patches, cuttlefish, octopuses, sea stars. Perfect for a first dive after a break.
💡 How is the dive site chosen?

In the morning, before heading out, the captain and dive master check the weather, current and visibility, and choose the two best spots for the day. Sometimes the plan changes right on the water — if conditions at the first site aren't ideal, we move to a backup. Your safety and comfort come first.

Day schedule

How a Fun Dive day works

Half a day on the water, two full dives, lunch and rest. By 2 PM you're back at your hotel — with the rest of the day ahead of you.

Time What happens
07:00–07:30 Transfer from your hotel to Nha Trang port (Cau Da Port).
08:00 Boat departs for the islands (50 minutes). Dive plan briefing, equipment check, buddy check.
~09:00 Dive #1 (45–50 minutes): Up to 18m (or 30m for Advanced). The dive master leads the group along the reef. Corals, clownfish, moray eels, barracuda.
~10:00–11:30 Surface interval. Rest on board, discuss the first dive, prepare for the second.
~11:30 Dive #2 (45–50 minutes): A new dive site or the same one with a different route. Mandatory 3-minute safety stop at 5 meters.
~12:20 Rinse equipment right after the second dive.
~12:40 Lunch on board: hot dish, fruit, tea, coffee, water.
13:30–14:00 Return to port, transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is yours!

Total: about 6 hours on the water, 2 full dives of 45–50 minutes, lunch and rest between dives. Conservative profiles with a safety margin — we never push you to decompression limits.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Fun Dive

▶ Can I dive without certification?
No, Fun Dive is for certified divers only. If you don't have a certification, sign up for a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) ($90) — a dive with an instructor for beginners without certification.
▶ I haven't dived in 2 years. Can I go straight to Fun Dive?
We recommend starting with a Refresh dive — a short refresher of basic skills in shallow water (+$30). If you feel confident, you can go straight to Fun Dive, but the dive master will keep a closer eye on you.
▶ How much air is in the tank?
We fill to 200 bar (12-liter aluminum tanks). For an experienced diver this lasts 45–50 minutes at 10–15m depth. If you consume air faster, just signal at 50 bar remaining and safely ascend ahead of the group.
▶ Can I dive on Nitrox?
Yes! If you have a Nitrox Diver certification, we can fill your tank with EANx32 (+$10 per tank). Nitrox lets you stay underwater longer and feel less tired. Let us know when booking.
▶ What if the weather is bad?
If the weather doesn't allow us to head out safely (strong wind, waves over 1.5m), we'll cancel or reschedule the Fun Dive. You choose: reschedule to another day or a full refund. Safety comes first.
▶ Can I take photos underwater?
Of course! Bring your own camera or GoPro. We also offer professional underwater photo/video — $25 (700,000 ₫): you'll get the shots the same day.
▶ Can I dive solo?
No (except divers with a PADI Self-Reliant Diver certification and 100+ logged dives). Everyone dives in a pair (buddy system) or with the dive master. This is an international safety standard.
▶ Can I fly after a Fun Dive?
After multiple dives in a day, wait at least 18 hours before flying. This is the PADI standard for preventing decompression sickness. Plan your Fun Dive a day or two before departure.
▶ How do I book a Fun Dive?
Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram: tell us the date, number of divers, certification level and your hotel address. In high season (March–September) book 1–2 days ahead — spots are limited (max 4 divers per dive master).
