Fun Dive in Nha Trang (for certified divers)
Already certified? Just grab your gear and dive
Fun Dive is diving purely for pleasure. No training, no exams, no hour-long briefings. If you're already a certified diver, we handle everything else: boat, equipment, the best dive sites, lunch on board. All you have to do is dive and enjoy.
Nha Trang offers relaxed reef diving in the warm waters of the South China Sea. Living coral gardens, diverse marine life, gentle currents and good visibility in season. You're on the boat in the morning, and by noon you've done 2 dives and are heading back to Nha Trang.
The "half-day on the water" format leaves you with the rest of the day free — for the beach, excursions or simply relaxing. Small groups (max 4 divers per dive master) and an experienced dive master make every dive comfortable and safe.
Please bring your diving certification card (plastic card or digital version on your phone) and logbook (if you have one). Without certification we can't take you on a Fun Dive — it's an international safety requirement. No certification? Then a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) is perfect for you — or you can get certified with us.
Fun Dive is for you if…
We recommend starting with a Refresh / Scuba Review dive — a short refresher of basic skills in shallow water before the main dives: mask clearing, buoyancy control, safe ascent. It takes 20–30 minutes and restores your confidence. Cost: +$30 to the Fun Dive.
Best dive sites for Fun Dive in Nha Trang
An archipelago of 19 islands surrounds Nha Trang Bay — and each offers its own character, depth and marine life. The dive master selects the best spots for the day based on weather, current and the group's level.
In the morning, before heading out, the captain and dive master check the weather, current and visibility, and choose the two best spots for the day. Sometimes the plan changes right on the water — if conditions at the first site aren't ideal, we move to a backup. Your safety and comfort come first.
How a Fun Dive day works
Half a day on the water, two full dives, lunch and rest. By 2 PM you're back at your hotel — with the rest of the day ahead of you.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 07:00–07:30 | Transfer from your hotel to Nha Trang port (Cau Da Port). |
| 08:00 | Boat departs for the islands (50 minutes). Dive plan briefing, equipment check, buddy check. |
| ~09:00 | Dive #1 (45–50 minutes): Up to 18m (or 30m for Advanced). The dive master leads the group along the reef. Corals, clownfish, moray eels, barracuda. |
| ~10:00–11:30 | Surface interval. Rest on board, discuss the first dive, prepare for the second. |
| ~11:30 | Dive #2 (45–50 minutes): A new dive site or the same one with a different route. Mandatory 3-minute safety stop at 5 meters. |
| ~12:20 | Rinse equipment right after the second dive. |
| ~12:40 | Lunch on board: hot dish, fruit, tea, coffee, water. |
| 13:30–14:00 | Return to port, transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is yours! |
Total: about 6 hours on the water, 2 full dives of 45–50 minutes, lunch and rest between dives. Conservative profiles with a safety margin — we never push you to decompression limits.
